I've worked in the corporate world, for a philanthropic organization, and for a sole proprietor.  None of that was for me.  I decided I needed to follow my creative side, couple that with my business skills, and start my own business doing what I love.  I've never looked back.

A self-taught jewelry artist, I use a variety of techniques including metalsmithing, stone setting, wire wrapping, stringing, and precious metal clay techniques.  I let the stones speak to me for the design, and in the design I like to let the stones speak for themselves.  Having had the opportunity to travel all over the world, I draw inspiration from those experiences as well as the beauty where I live, the Finger Lakes in upstate NY.  I handcraft each and every piece in my home studio in Marcellus, NY.

My latest line of jewelry was inspired by my first vacation to the Outer Banks, NC several years ago.  I spent a lot of time collecting shells on the beaches and you will find either the actual shells in my designs, or fine silver or sterling silver pieces that I created from the shells.  Falling in love with the Outer Banks, we've vacationed there every year since.  Looking forward to that vacation gets me through the harsh winters here in upstate NY.

I strive to be as environmentally responsible as I can by using recycled silver, while also recycling my own scraps.  I also try not to use chemicals in my process therefore using household products, such as hard boiled eggs to oxidize my silver and vinegar and salt to remove firescale.

I hope you enjoy what you see here as much as I enjoy sharing it with you.

Wishing you all the best,

Lisa Twombly
